History:
Woodland Springs was developed in the early 1960's as an exclusive custom home community. Upon the completion of Keystone Avenue in 1965, the City of Carmel formally annexed Woodland Springs.  The clubhouse and the adjacent Woodland Springs  Christian Church (now the Chinese Community Church) were designed by a Carmel architect, Avriel Shull (1931-1976).  Ms Shull also designed other homes in Carmel, in particular, in the Thornhurst area off of Main Street.  Some of her home designs in Carmel are now registered with the National Registry of Historic Places.

The stunning Woodland Lake
The largest community asset of Woodland Springs is lake front access to beautiful Woodland Lake. The 46.42 acre man made lake is perfect for pontoon boats, sail boats, kayaks, canoes and other non-motorized watercraft. This private lake is for residents only, making it the perfect place to meet and greet neighbors for a bit of fishing or swimming.

The lake is stocked full of native Indiana fish including large and smallmouth bass, crappie, walleye, catfish, spotted bass, white bass and striped bass. Simply put, Woodland Lake is a fisherman’s dream. Snag the catch of the day and cook it up in a pan at home or mount it for above the fireplace. Needless to say, swapping fish stories is a favorite past time of many Woodland Springs residents.

Of course residents can also socialize at the clubhouse. The pool facility is open to all residents and their guests. Plus the neighborhood even boasts a swim team, the perfect Summer activity to keep your kids active and engaged with the community. Or enjoy a few games of tennis or pickle ball on their private, regulation size courts. The clubhouse and swimming pool are both available for residents to rent for private parties.

If that isn't enough, the Woodland Springs social committee plans a range of events to bring neighbors together throughout the year. Enjoy wine and cheese socials, swim parties, Island gatherings, flotillas and more.  Neighbors depend on each other at Woodland Springs, particularly when it comes to the neighborhood crime watch program. Not that Woodland Springs has a problem with crime, thanks in large part to neighbors who look out for each other.
